Keeping your log cabins spider free 

Many people are afraid of spiders, and often avoid buying bespoke log cabins because they fear they may become full of bugs. 

There are many ways to enjoy outdoor huts and gazebos though, and keep out unwanted visitors at the same time.

One easy way to deter spiders from coming into your garden office cabin is to add plenty of essential oils to a spray bottle or oil burner. Spiders do not like strong aromas, so choosing an oil like peppermint or lavender is usually best. Spraying these into the darker corners of your bespoke log cabins will help to keep them spider-free.

Rubbing fresh lemon peel around the skirting boards or the window ledges of your barbeque sheds is another way of keeping spiders out. Limes can work equally well, and you can also add the juice of these fruits to a water spray.

Another natural repellent for spiders and other insects is eucalyptus. Having a plant like this not only scares off spiders, but it also brings some greenery and fresh scents into your space.

Regularly cleaning and washing the woodwork inside the garden cabin room removes dust and cobwebs. Although vinegar is another smell that helps to repel spiders, it can stain woodwork, so should be used sparingly, and mixed with plenty of water.
