Often, a good quality Swedish BBQ hut will have walls over forty millimetres thick at a minimum. This will help keep the BBQ shed better insulated, and will also ensure the heat generated by the cooking facilities will be retained within the structure. Having these sturdier planks of wood will provide much more stability and strength to the shed.

Other elements of BBQ cabins that are common include double glazed windows and doors, along with a full timber floor offering a safe, solid base for cooking and eating equipment.
