We are around 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport towards Loch Lomond. Our full address is Logspan, Milton Brae Road, Milton, Dumbarton, G82 2TX. We are located directly across from Arnold Clark.
What are your opening times?
Monday to Saturday - 0900 to 1630.
Do you offer a warranty with my purchase?
Yes. We provide a 5-year structural warranty, and a 2-year warranty on both windows and doors providing the cabin has been treated and painted correctly within 28 days of delivery/installation and has been subject to regular maintenance.
Can you provide custom cabins?
Yes – we are happy to help with a specific size or specification.
What log cabins or BBQ huts do you have in stock?
We have most sizes of BBQ huts in stock, and we hold minimal stock of log cabins. For an exact stock list, contact our office on 01389 734572.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept BACS, credit or debit cards, finance, cheque and cash.
How much is the deposit?
We ask for a deposit of £200 for orders under £10,000 to secure. Orders over £10,000 require a 10% deposit.
I have only paid a deposit, when is my balance due?
We ask that the balance is paid around 7 days prior to dispatch.
Do you offer finance, and is it interest free?
Yes, we offer 12 or 24-month finance (provided by Novuna), and most of the time it’s interest free, however keep an eye on our home page for our latest promotions and offers.
Can I get a discount on multiple purchases?
Yes. Any multi-purchase discount will be discussed with your sales representative.
Planning Permission
Do I need planning permission when buying a log cabin or BBQ hut?
Planning permission is not commonly required if the building meets the following criteria:
It's located at the back of the house, and not used as a separate home to live in.
It does not take up half or more of the rear grounds behind your home.
It's not higher than 4 metres at the highest point, and any part that's a metre or less from the boundary is no higher than 2.5 metres.
The eaves (the part where the wall meets the roof) are no higher than 3 metres.
If the land is in a conservation area or in the grounds of a listed building, the building has a footprint of less than 4 square metres.
We use an 18-tonne rigid lorry with a front mounted Hiab crane for off-loading, and the order is normally offloaded to kerbside however our driver will try his best to accommodate and drop on a suitable driveway or path.
Do you deliver anywhere in the UK?
Yes, we deliver anywhere in the UK, free of charge..
Will I receive a time-slot for my delivery?
No, unfortunately it's an all day delivery service however we do try and deliver as early as possible.
Build
How long does it take to build my log cabin or BBQ hut?
Given our experience, under normal circumstances we take 1 full day to complete the work, however for bigger projects this may take longer.
How many people does it take to build a log cabin or BBQ hut?
Our team have 3 experienced workers, and we complete most projects in 1 full day however we would say a minimum of 2 to avoid any issues.
Can a log cabin or BBQ hut be built on uneven, muddy ground?
Yes. We can provide the appropriate basework which can include a treated timber frame, plastic composite posts used for levelling, and high-quality postmix to ensure the base is structurally sound.
What kind of base does my log cabin or BBQ hut need?
A firm, level base such as paving slabs, or a concrete slab is ideal. For grassy or muddy areas, we can include basework in the project if needed.
Can you insulate the cabins?
Yes - most of our cabins can be insulated which makes them perfect all year round.
Self-Build
If I am self-building, can I collect directly from your show site?
Yes. We have a forklift on site and will assist where we can.
I am self-building, are fixtures and fittings included with my order?
Yes, the only thing we do not provide is tools.
I am self-building and looking for some advice with building, can you provide this?

Treatment + Painting
Does the timber come pre-treated?
No, your log cabin or BBQ hut is bare timber. Only the baseframe is pre-treated.
Do I need to paint my log cabin or BBQ hut?
Yes, to ensure the longevity of the timber, and validate your warranty.
What is the life expectancy of a log cabin or BBQ hut?
Providing the building was treated correctly initially, and has been subject to regular maintenance, our log cabins and BBQ huts can last 15+ years.
How do I maintain my log cabin or BBQ hut correctly?
Spray water on your cabin - if it beads up and rolls down, you are good for another year, however if not, we recommend re-treating the cabin.
Check for plants and trees around the perimeter of the cabin - these should be at least 12 inches away. This is to help with air circulation and sunlight.
Check the condition of the roofing material and keep the roof clear of moss and leaves. A build up of moss or leaves may lead to water ingression.

Yes – assuming we can obtain them from our manufacturer. We will try our best to help.
