Cabin wall thickness?
30mm - Perfect for a summer cabin, this type of wall boards are single tongue and groove. All our wood is straight and smooth with the minimum of knots.
45mm - A sturdy cabin suitable for office use or sleep-overs. 45mm is our most popular log thickness and we have sold cabins for a variety of uses. Among which is a dining room, a music room, a therapy room and a home office. It is of course a suitable wood thickness for "a spare room in the garden", whatever your needs are! Our 45mm logs are double tongue and groove.
60mm - This is a good thickness for a more permanent use. It would be adequate for holiday lets and in most situations of permanent living accomodation. The 60mm wood is 2 logs of 35mm glulamed together then planed down to 60mm. This makes the log stronger and means the wood has been properly dried out, so there is not the cracking and warping you can get from solid 60mm timbers.
95mm - Our 95mm logs are also glulamed timbers but this time it is 3 x 35mm logs glued then planed to 95mm. This of course makes a very strong beam, again without the cracking or warping you get in solid logs of 95mm. The logs are triple tongue and groove which is windproof and are creates a strong straight wall which is thick enough for permanent living accomodation in all but the most extreme circumstances within the UK.
